Susanna Yoon, head chef and founder, first dreamed up the Stick with Me concept in 2013 after working in restaurants such as Per Se as chocolatier. Her shop opened a year later in 2014 in the Nolita neighborhood of New York City, where chocolatiers produced everything right in the back of the small retail shop until January with a recent move into a more spacious Brooklyn kitchen. This latest change has allowed for a larger selection of confection flavors and accommodates an increase in shipping orders.
“Our mission has always been to create the sweetest way to cherish the special people and moments in your life,” says Lindsay Finney, assistant general manager. “And to help you give a unique and memorable gift that says, ‘stick with me!’"

The Store
Stick With Me Sweets is located on Mott Street in the quaint neighborhood of Nolita. It’s a tiny shop nestled between two buildings with a bright red awning welcoming its guests. Inside, the walls are lined with boxes of mixed confections for purchase while the glass-encased counter is full of colorful bonbons and various caramels. A large floor-to-ceiling window overlooks the street, letting patrons get a glimpse of what’s happening inside as they walk by.
“Our community in Nolita is super diversified, with people from all walks of life,” says Finney. “We retain many of the same features as nearby neighborhoods SoHo and Little Italy, but Nolita has a distinctly charming vibe on its own, packed with stylish boutiques, cozy cafes, and restaurants.”
While the locals make up a lot of their clientele, the shop has also been getting recognized by more than just its community, thanks to visitors from all over expressing interest in the neighborhood and discovering shop for themselves.
“I believe that the constant support from our neighbors and community has helped us remarkably,” says Finney. “Nolita has also been attracting a record number of tourists, which has also been helpful to our business.”
Top-Selling Confections

Stick With Me Sweets is known for its hand-painted chocolate bonbons — and for good reason. They are packaged inside a book-inspired decorative box that can hold anywhere from six to 54 different bonbons. “A few favorites are the New York, New York with a crunchy pretzel center and peanut praline,” says Finney. “And also the Vero which is made with pecan praline and sea salt caramel. It’s like a perfect bite of pecan pie.”

Caramels
The shop’s handmade and hand-wrapped caramels are the inspiration behind its name. Customers can choose from different flavors including, brown buttered macadamia nut, coffee, passion mango, vanilla fudge, and chocolate fudge. “Our customers love the fruity flavors,” says Finney. “The yuzu and mango passionfruit are always being requested, and I lean towards the nutty brown butter macadamia nut caramel for something special.”

Candy Bars
These candy bars are elevated in appearance and taste, ranging in a wide selection of fruity and chocolate, making for decadent, one-of-a-kind flavors. “We're constantly adding to our candy bars,” says Finney. “A highlight is our Remix bar, containing a vanilla shortbread and sea salt caramel enrobed in milk chocolate.”

The shop also works on custom orders for weddings, anniversaries, or other special celebrations to create one-of-a-kind confections. Customers can contact the shop directly online or over the phone and work one-on-one with the team to create hand-painted bonbons and custom-packaged caramels and truffles.
