The 9 Best Blogs for Chocolate Lovers
We can’t get enough chocolate. We like eating it, drinking it, watching TV shows about it, and especially reading about it. Since the Chocolate Professor launched late last year, we’ve been scouring the internet looking for chocolate blogs to follow. What we’ve discovered is that some are review sites, while others focus on advocacy and of course, there are chocolate recipe blogs too. We will cover chocolate recipe blogs in the future. Here are some of our favorite chocolate blogs, in no particular order.

Dark Matters Chocolate Reviews
Victoria Cooksey has been reviewing craft chocolate bars for over 5 years on her blog. She also interviews chocolate makers and shares her reviews on Instagram and in YouTube videos. We’ve only been following her for a few months, but we’ve learned about different makers but we appreciate her approachable style and knowledge.
Finding Fine Chocolate
Barbie Van Horn’s blog consists mostly of reviews of chocolate, but also experiences. Van Horn is one of the founders of the Pacific NW Chocolate Society.
Chocablog
A team of writers contribute reviews, recipes, festival recaps and more on this UK based site. We particularly like the chocolate factory tour posts.
The Chocolate Journalist
An advocate for craft bean-to-bar chocolate makers, Sharon Terenzi has been researching and writing about the chocolate industry since 2014. Her articles are aimed at both chocolate fans and chocolate makers and are well researched and thoughtful.
A strong marketer and writer, we like her site for the deep dives into topics like cacao pollination and deforestation.
The Chocolate Cult
TammyJo Eckhart, PhD has been writing about chocolate since 2009 and reports that she has featured products from 387 brands, companies, and individuals from 196 countries. She also covers the culture of chocolate.
37 Chocolates
Chocolate Professor contributor Estelle Tracy is a chocolate sommelier who leads tastings and documents her “chocolate journey.” Her blog is a mix of interviews, tasting notes, profiles and essays, in addition to links to her events.
Coeur de Xocolat
While not 100% chocolate related, this blog is mostly chocolate. David Greenwood-Haigh is a chef, author, chocolatier and international chocolate consultant shares recipes, articles and more. We particularly like the niche topics that he chooses to write about such as the origins of chocolate mousse, a guide to pairing chocolate and coffee and why and how he snorts cocoa powder(!).
Dame Cacao
Max Gandy is a freelance chocolate travel writer, photographer and podcaster. She has stepped back from blogging at the moment, but the site has lots of reviews and travel guides that are worth perusing. Dame Cacao means “give me chocolate” but you might also think of Gandy as the Dame of chocolate.
The Chocolate Life
One this blog you’ll find links to Clay Gordon’s content and musings. A consultant, blogger, author and moderator of an online chocolate community, he offers news, links to events, classifieds and more. We never know what we’ll find here, but maybe that’s the point?
